Every Tuesday, we'll share easy-to-understand information to help you better understand your pelvic floor, your body, and your overall health.

Pelvic health affects people of every age, gender, race, and culture. Whether you're preparing for pregnancy, recovering after childbirth or surgery, managing pelvic or back pain, experiencing bladder or bowel concerns, navigating menopause, supporting men's pelvic health, improving sexual health, healing scar tissue, or simply wanting to stay active and healthy as you age, this series is for you.

Your pelvic floor does much more than support your bladder. It plays an important role in supporting your pelvic organs, controlling bladder and bowel function, supporting fertility, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, sexual health, core strength, posture, breathing, balance, movement, and everyday activities.

Many pelvic health concerns are common, yet they are rarely talked about. Too many people live with pain, bladder leaks, constipation, pelvic pressure, or sexual concerns because they believe these symptoms are a normal part of life or aging. They don't have to be.

Pelvic health is also closely connected to healthy aging. Bladder and bowel problems, balance difficulties, falls, weakness, and loss of mobility can all affect a person's independence and quality of life. Incontinence is one of the common reasons older adults transition to assisted living or nursing home care because it can become difficult to manage safely at home. By improving pelvic floor function, strength, balance, movement, and coordination, we hope to help people maintain their dignity, independence, freedom, and participation in the activities they love for as long as possible.

Our goal is to educate, empower, and provide practical information that helps you better understand your body and make informed decisions about your health. We believe that no one should suffer in silence, and that knowledge is the first step toward healing and living well.

Thank you for being part of the Advance Core community. We look forward to learning, growing, and supporting healthier lives together—one Tuesday at a time.
